Not Power But Brokenness

We tend to pray for God to give us power to live a kind of life God wants us to live. But God has given us power and everything we need to live a godly life. So, asking what we’ve already have is foolishness on our part (2 Peter 1:3; 1 Corinthians 1:5).

What we need is not power but brokenness; for God to break us, for God to touch and dislocate “the socket of our hips” which is keeping God from becoming the LORD and King of our lives (Genesis 32:22-32). ///
