“You do not believe in Miracle?”

A4P Guest: I’m a 25 year old single man. When I was 14 years old, I was introduced to porn and masturbation and I was addicted to those things until last year. Last year I went with one of my friends to a conference where a man of God was praying for deliverance. There were lots of people who were demon possessed and addicted to all sorts of sexual sins like me. Most people got delivered! And in the middle of the program, the man of God came directly to me and said “Son, the chain of sexual addiction is broken from your life.” When I heard those words, I fell on my face and some kind of electric shock went through my body and I knew at that moment that I was free from the bondage of porn and masturbation addiction. From that night on up to this day, I’m free from sexual addiction. So when I read some of your blogs, you rarely talk about miracle in the name of Jesus. You talk about counseling, psychiatrist, psychologists and all those professions who are not the answers for sexual addiction. The Bible says, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! So when you talk about how one can be free from the bondage of sexual addiction, why don’t you talk about the miraculous deliverance they can have in Jesus; or you don’t believe in miracle?

A4P: Let me first say this to make the air clear: I do believe in miracle and I do believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Actually I am one of those people who had received amazing miracle from the Lord Jesus Christ on the day I’ve received the Holy Spirit baptism. Continue reading “You do not believe in Miracle?”

Sunday!

Hooray! Yes, it is Sunday!

Please don’t ask me about the weather down here. I know, I am kind of resenting Maryland’s weather these days. I mean, we don’t have a plan to move unless God has a plan for us. But these days, I already brought the topic of moving from this area to my hubby probably three times. Why? The weather! It is just crazy!

But this is the rule of our household, rain or shine, we shall always go to the house of the Lord on Sundays!

So, even if it is rainy, wet and cold today, as for me and my house, we shall go to the house God to worship Him with other believers!

What about you and your household? ///

Very Interesting Question

My sister and her husband are at “the Weekend to Remember” getaway program for married couples hosted by the Family Life Ministry (familyministry.com). If you remember, my Berhan and I went to this program three weeks ago. Now it is their turn. So, their kids are with us since yesterday night. You can just imagine our Saturday with six kids. Our three kids had an “All Nighter” program hosted by Grace Baptist Church yesterday night. They literally stayed up the whole night. The program starts with a prayer and worship, followed by a short sermon and ends with bowling, skating (rollerblading) rock climbing and laser tagging as they go from one place to another by bus for the whole night. Yeah! This program comes only once a year and all our kids die to go!

Anyways, they just came back from there and you can just imagine; their cousins want them to stay up and they want to stay up too but they look like zombies. I try to keep all of them up so that they enjoy each other’s presence.

While I do that, I opened my laptop and saw one question which was dropped off in my inbox yesterday night and that question caught my attention. So, the question goes like this: Continue reading Very Interesting Question

“Am I Considered as a sexually Addicted Person?”

A4P Guest: “I’m a 29 year-old single woman. I have a problem of viewing porn and masturbation. I’m a born-again Christian and heavily involved in my church ministry. Am I considered a sexually addicted person or a person with a sexual sin problem?”

A4P: An excellent question!

Having sexual addiction problem and sexual sin problem are two different things but both are considered sinful before God. Sexual intimacy is considered holy before God ONLY when it occurs in a one-flesh relationship of one man and one woman who are married to each other. Change is a Rarity in the Man’s World!

Some girls believe that their man can change if they marry him. But that is a fantasy many women tend to believe.

The truth of the matter is a man doesn’t usually change.

There is one beautiful saying that goes like this:

“A woman marries a man thinking that he will change; but he will never change. A man marries a woman thinking that she will never change; but she will change.”

Made you think, didn’t it? Continue reading Change is a Rarity in the Man’s World!

Asking A Married Woman for a Date

When a man asks a married woman for a date, I don’t think the wise answer for her to reply back to him is, “I’m sorry, I’m married.”

I think that may sound to him as if she said: “Oops! You came a little late! I wish you came a bit earlier than now for me to marry you, not my husband.”

Instead, I think, the wise and godly answer, answer to save herself from adulterous relationship from its inception, is: “You know what? I have no need and want to date any man at all because I found this man and I keep finding myself falling in love with him even after I married him.”

Ouch! That reply will teach him never to mess with any married woman. ///

Had a Wonderful Monday Evening!

Thank you all my Facebook fans who have joined me yesterday night at the Berea teleconference program! Wow! What a turn out! I am so proud of you!  I don’t know about you but I had a wonderful time. May all the praise and glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I would like to say, “Thank You” to my wonderful brother, Daniel Aregahegn, who invited me to his program. Daniel is the host of a program called “A Special Program” which always begins on Monday at 8:30pm (ET) at the Berea teleconference.

Thank you Daniel for having me at your program! God bless you and yours! Though I can’t come to the program next Monday to continue what we’ve started, I sure will come another time.

For those of you who have missed yesterday’s program, here is the link: http://tapeacall.com/9wcnukrw3r

Supplemental Vitamins can’t Replace Real Food!

Can anybody live by a supplement? Well, sure they can but for a very short period of time. They eventually need to eat real food or else they will die. Supplements are there to “supplement” not to replace real food.

In the same way, what we get from our local churches on Sundays is a spiritual supplement (but only if it is biblically sound). If our spiritual enlightenment comes only from the Sunday service, we are endangering our spirituality.

Our real spiritual food should come from our daily personal devotion with God, as we seek Him and His ways and wills; as we read the Bible and meditate on the Word daily; and as we strive to put the Word to practice.

To live by every Word of God, we need to eat it daily (Matthew 4:4); strive to live by it daily (Matthew 7:24. And adding supplement is still necessary, which is, going to church and seeking God with others.

After all, the church is not called to influence us, us the believers; rather we the believers are called to influence the church. If we are not alive and well in Him daily, the church won’t be alive and well either BECAUSE WE ARE THE CHURCH! ///
