A God of Second Chance

She is very good at making people feel at home. Most people get attracted to her because she gives everything she has; her time, money or anything she can give. But one thing people don’t know about her is this: She gives everything she has because she is scared of being left alone.

As she quietly celebrated her 46th birthday in her townhouse, she turned the TV on and sat down across the TV. She didn’t even know why she turned it on because she was not watching. She was “zoomed out” to somewhere else. As if the TV was talking to her, reaching to the remote control, she said, “I don’t think you be of any help for me today,” and she turned it off.

She wished if someone called and said, “Happy birthday! Let’s go out and have fun,” but who? Just ten years ago, her phone used to ring every minute. Not anymore.

She had to initiate any fun; and as long as she provided, most people would accept her invitation. Party, lunch, breakfast, picnic, home party, dinner party; you name it, she did it all so that she would be with others. But one thing she yearned; and that was for someone to look for her; to ask her out for lunch or something. Continue reading A God of Second Chance

Going Grocery Shopping while Hungry

I just came back from grocery. I didn’t know that I was hungry until I entered the Costco store. These people know exactly what kind of food to take out, at what time. At every corner, there is a table where you can go and taste different foods; foods such as ice cream, burger, lasagna, soup, cookie, and, hold on a second, and DARK CHOCOLATE!

I mean, who can resist DARK CHOCOLATE! Not me! I ate it like nobody’s business.

Every Freedom Comes with Limitations or Boundaries!

This is the YouTube video we made yesterday in our kitchen.

Well, the Banko’s were standing in front of me, helping but at the same time, making some noises, including a deep sigh, lol. So, that is the noise you hear at the background.

The leading Bible verse of the message is: Galatians 5:1a “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”

Well, I love the message and I think it is done well however I made one mistake. I said, 1 Corinthians 6:8, instead of saying 1 Corinthians 6:18 (“Flee sexual immorality”). So, forgive me on that one. So, when you hear me say 6:8; know that I meant to say 6:18.

Otherwise the straightforward message can be clearly understood. The message is: There is no absolute freedom in this side of heaven. Every freedom comes with a limitation or a boundary beyond which freedom turns into bondage. I hope you like it and if you do, share it with your buddies. Thanks! ///

We Need Others to Get Healed

Do you know the one dangerous fallacy sexually addicted people can hold on to? They think that they have more sexual needs and desires (or more sexual hormones) than the average people.

But the truth of the matter is being addicted for example to porn and masturbation has little or no relationship with sexual needs or desires. Sexual addiction has everything to do with a lonely soul, a soul which is wounded and hurt; a soul which is drowning in its own secrets; a soul which is told repeatedly to be quiet, and more. Happy Veteran’s Day to all of you who live in America!

Wow, how grateful we are to live on this free land; but this land wouldn’t be free if some people hadn’t pay the price for it! Yes, some gave their lives for the free we are enjoying everyday.

So, I would like to say “Thank you” to all American veterans who unselfishly gave their lives for all of us! Some gave their body parts; some gave their sanity and ended up in mental institution; some gave their youthful days.

Thank you!
