25th Marriage Anniversary Day ???????

Elelelelelelelelelelelelele! Amen! By God’s grace and mercy, my Berhan and I made it to this day! Eleleleleleleleleelelelelel! You have no idea eko how thankful and happy we are of this day! May the name of God be blessed forever!

My Facebook friends, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I don’t know how to thank you enough! Words have failed me! May God bless you for celebrating our anniversary with me on this page for 7-days! Appreciate you very much!

Yes, today is the 7th day and it is the actual anniversary day, March 27, 2022. My Berhan and I got married 25 years ago and because of God’s mercy and grace, we saw this day! We thank God for seeing us both through these years!

I am eternally thankful that I am married to the man of my dream. Yes, I am! I cannot imagine my life without Berhan being in it. Why did God want to show me this kindness? I don’t know! All I know is this: I once was blind but now I see clearly that Jesus Christ has died for sinners, of whom I am the chief.

Oh, young people, please listen to me:

Marriage between one man and one woman is the agenda of God. It is His creation. It is the only institution that God has finger stamp on it! Are you married, don’t seek divorce. Are you single, desire to know Christ more than finding a mate to marry.

Please hear me once again: Read your Bible, cover to cover! Study it! Know the message of God. Know the whole counsel of the word of God. Saying, “This prophet said to me this and that,” won’t get you anywhere and cannot save you. Only the truth of God that you know will save you!

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”” John 8:31-32 NASB

Do you see it? It say, “and you will know the truth” – the truth that you know can only set you free from being slave to sin, to this dark world and to the devil.

To those of you, young married couples, please, don’t abandon the Gospel. Your marriage is the Gospel God uses to tell the world that He wants to be one with His people. The wife is the symbol of the church and the husband is the symbol of Jesus Christ (Ephesian 5:22-31). When you stay in your marriage, you declare to this dark world that the wedding of Jesus and the church is soon going to happen. And declaring that news glorifies God!

Because the devil knows that your marriage is the Gospel, he fights with you with all his might. All hell may break loose on your life so you run away from your marriage. Your Savior will help you. Instead of running away from your spouse, run to God! Run to His word! The only way you can attack and defeat the devil and his schemes is by the word of God. Listen: –

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:10-17 NASB

Notice! The only armor you have to make an offense on the devil is the word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit. All the other armors are to defend and protect yourself but with the word, you attach the devil. Please be filled in the truth of God so “you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil” and stay married until the end. This is what I preach to myself every day!

There is no good thing in divorce. Only pain and heartaches!

Seek help when you face problems in your marriage. Seek marriage counseling! Don’t follow your ways but God’s.

Listen to what the Bible says:

“There is a way which seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12 NASB

But,

“In the way of righteousness is life,
And in its pathway there is no death.” Proverbs 12:28 NASB

Hallelujah! In God’s path, the path the word of God shows you, there is no death. Your marriage won’t die as long as you establish yourself on the Rock, on Jesus, on the Word of God.

So, hang in there!

If you cannot find solution to your marital problems, hold on to the promises of God.

“Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”?
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:27-31 NASB

God is alive! He does hear prayers offered up to Him in the Jesus Christ!

Jesus Himself said,

“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14 NASB

Remember, God is faithful to see you through!

Yes, marriage is the idea and the agenda of God, not man’s. Berhan and I testify to that truth because we both saw how God used our marriage to mold us and make us through these 25 years and make us both better people. We are better people today because God has put us together in what’s called marriage. And we look forward to the future with excitement and fear, with excitement because God always surprises us with His endless blessings and gifts, with fear because this Mighty God Himself is walking along with us.

In the meantime, we always pray for God to save us from temptation as His word says,

““Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”” Matthew 26:41 NIV

Even if we always encourage people to work on their marriages, Berhan and I strive to work hard on our marriage too so we too won’t be disqualified from the race.

“Therefore [we]I run in such a way, as not without aim; [we]I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but [we]I discipline [our]my body and make it [our]my slave, so that, after [we]I have preached to others, [we ourselves]I myself will not be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 7:26-27 NASB

We too strive to finish our race glorifying and magnifying the name of our Lord and God, Jesus Christ.

The Bible says,

“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.” 1 Corinthians 10:12 NASB

I know the video message I am sharing with you above has nothing to do with the message I am writing here. In the video I am thanking my husband for the countless good things he has done throughout the last 25 years. I am doing that in front of the camera so to courage and challenge young married couples to do the same, to make thankfulness their second nature so they don’t take each other for granted. That is all!

What a day! What a celebration!

Guys, thank you for rejoicing this day with us! Happy 25th anniversary to us! Praise God! ///
