Matchless Hope!

It was just last year, September 09, 2020, my beloved sister, Zenashbezu Tadesse Kifetew departed from this life and to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Yes, time flies but my sister always lives in my heart. I sobbed and cried saying, “Zenu, my son, Abel, got married and his wife’s name is Honora,” as if my sister could hear me. I wanted to introduce her to my new daughter-in-law. But my sister is nowhere to be found.

It is okay. God is good all the time! He is a righteous King in everything He does. Even if I don’t understand everything, I know that God is good! I have the hope of eternity. Lord Jesus Christ will soon make all things right.

Oh, the day I came to know Christ! How would I pass this day without Christ being next to me????? I can’t. But He is with me, comforting me and giving me this eternal hope that I will one day see and be with not only with my sister but also with my dad too who passed away four years ago.

Oh, you have no idea how happy I am that my dad didn’t witness the death of his daughter. Oh, my! My dad couldn’t have handled it well and his everyday prayer was, “Lord, take me first from this family,” and God answered his prayer. I thank God for that. Crying for my sister, at the same time, I rejoice about my dad. God didn’t subject him to this. How faithful our God is!

But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory. death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 NASB

Soon, very soon, we gather together around the throne of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and sing, dance and rejoice! No more tears? No more pain! No more sickness! No more separation! No more sadness!

Oh, the hope of heaven! Matchless hope we have in Christ. ///
