The LORD Sustains Me

The first thing that came to my mind this morning was the fact that I was still saved, that I believe in Jesus Christ.

Have you ever thought about that?

You go to sleep believing in Jesus Christ and when you wake up, you find yourself believing in Him again.
My friend, if you think that your brain or your will or something else than God is the one that makes you a believer every morning, you didn’t understand what the word of God is saying about your salvation, how you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit until Jesus Christ comes back.

“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.” (Psalm 3:5)

Isn’t that amazing?

Yes, it is. Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith! (Hebrews 12:2)

So, this morning, I said to God, “Abba, Father, thank You, for making me a believer today and for promising to keep me in Christ forever! Thank You for Your precious gift that is faith in Jesus Christ.”

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)

“It is the gift of God!” Praise God! ///
