There are two kinds of worlds, at least for us, Christians (followers of Jesus Christ):
One is this dark world which implies the pattern of life according to “the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient – Ephesians 2:2.
And, the second one is the world that is in Christ which implies the pattern of life according to the word of God.
These two worlds are two completely different worlds.
So, to check to which world I belong to, I sometimes ask myself the following question:
So, which world do I live for?
Or, “which world am I dead to?
Very straightforward, isn’t it?
And the answer should be as straightforward as the question.
Well, I cannot simultaneously live for these two completely different and opposing worlds.
I have to be dead to the one and live for the other; or I have to live for the one and be dead for the other.
Dr. Brown put this concept eloquently:
“When you are truly saved, you are lost to the world.”
Very convicting, isn’t it? ///
