Beyond Remedy

Some people think, even believe, that their situation is so unique and different that God is okay with their sinful lifestyle.

They are slaves to porn but they go to church (or, on ZOOM) and teach others about God. And some people respond to their message saying, “Oh my! The Holy Spirit is using you mightily! When you preach, I got healed from my sickness!”

And this is like a confirmation for them to know that God is okay with their porn issue.

Some are engaged in premarital sex or live with their boy/girlfriend and they think/believe that their situation is something that “God understands.” They call people over to their house and pray and do Bible study. And if the topic of “do not judge others” comes up, they will be the ones to give detail descriptions about that passage.

Do you know why some people mock God, His holiness, His Holy word and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ like that?

Because of this:

“But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”
Hebrews 3:13

First, they have absolutely no one to hold them accountable and responsible for their Christian walk. If they have friends, their friends are just like them; the blind leading the blind (Matthew 15:14).

So if they’re ever encouraged, they are encouraged to remain in their sinful lifestyle.

Second, most of these people have some kind of past spiritual experience that they draw comfort from. They enjoy talking about their past “spiritual encounters” with the Holy Spirit. They don’t know the power of “Today.”

Third, they don’t know what their sin does to them. Sin has power to harden a heart of the sinner for the things of God. Their heart becomes callous. That means there is nothing in them that responds to the truth of God.

Not only hardening their hearts but sin also takes away their ability to see the truth clearly. While they think they are seeing, they are blind. While they think they are listening, they are deaf for the truth. They are deceived!

Do these people love prophesy?

Yes they do! Most of these people are actually followers of the so called “prophets” who tend to prophesy on them saying “God said, I saw your humble heart and I will bless you! This year will be a year of prosperity!”

Oh yes! They jump up and down. They don’t know that God never compromises with His word, that there is no exceptional case that God will be okay with sin. God gave His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all kinds of sins!

“They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.” Titus 1:16

Are you that person?

If you are, REPENT! And run back to the shepherd and overseer of your soul, Jesus Christ. Who knows? This post might be for you the last warning the Holy Spirit is sending on your way.

The word of God says:

“A man who hardens his neck after much reproof Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy.” Proverbs 29:1 NASB

Beyond remedy? That is what it says. ///
