Bible Study #2?

I don’t know about you but for me I love this Bible study online thingy.

So, I said to myself, why not do it again?

Sure, why not!

But before I do that, let me say a word or two about yesterday’s verse:

“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. ” John 6:37 NASB

First, the word “All” here does not mean “Everybody who walks on this planet earth.”

Rather it means, “Everybody who the Father gives to Jesus”

We are precious gifts of God, given by the Father to His only Son Jesus Christ! Don’t you love that! I do! Very much so.

Second, only those who are given to Jesus Christ by God the Father are the ones who respond to the Gospel and come to Jesus Christ.

Third, all who come to Jesus Christ will be received by Jesus Christ and Jesus keeps them with Him forever! No one among them will perish! Hallelujah! That means, “Hold on to your salvation” kind of preaching is out of the window according to the word of God. Praise God!

What Jesus started only He can finish, not me or you. That is why Paul writes: “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NASB

So, today, let’s study a short passage:

“Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness, in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,” Titus 1:1-2 NASB

So, tell me. What do you read? What does this passage say?

Again, remember, I am not asking you what you think or imagine or would like the word to say but what it says?

The rule of this class is:

Act like a first-grade student, not like a PhD candidate.

Don’t try to read what is not written here. Just read and understand and share with us what it says.

Looking forward to reading your comments. ///
