The Bible says,
““You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:27-28
Hmm!
“commits adultery with her in his heart.”
Pure faith in God doesn’t always say, “God will deliver us,” but it sometimes says, “God will deliver us, but if He doesn’t, we will continue to worship and love Him!”
This is not a confession of doubt in God but an expression of unshakable and unstoppable faith in God, a strong and intimate relationship with God. Continue reading “God will deliver us”

“the Spirit as a pledge” means “as a guarantee.”

I am reading “The Pleasures of God” by John Piper.
I know, I’ve recommended this book on this page at least a dozen times, but I just can’t stop recommending it! It changed my whole understanding of the word of God! And I have read it (well, hearing it through Audible these days) a number of times now. I read it twice and heard it multiple times via Audible.
