Show Yourself To Be An Example

When government and respected health officials tell us what to do, listening to them and doing what they tell us to do is called wisdom because this is a character of a good citizen.

If they say, “Do not gather during this time,” let’s not gather.

Sadly enough, regardless of what the officials are telling us, some people still gather together in the name of “we are spiritual and we are covered by the blood of Jesus.”

Why?

Because they think that their disobedience shows their “big faith” in God.

What sort of faith or spirituality is this?

No clue!

Actually this shows superficial knowledge of God and the word of God.

The officials are not telling us to worship idols or to worship coronavirus. They are simply telling us to wash our hands as often as we can and avoid gathering together at least for few days.

When you say, “Wash your hands since you come from the outside!”

The response you get is, “I am covered by the blood of Jesus! I don’t need to wash my hands!”

Is this spiritual madness, blindness and ignorance or what?

My friends, please, let’s be good examples to others. Let’s quarantine ourselves and wash our hands as often as we can.

I appreciate Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, our beloved Ethiopian Prime Minister, for striving to set a good example to us in almost every area of life, including how to wash our hands to prevent the transmission of coronavirus.

“Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; in all things SHOW YOURSELF TO BE AN EXAMPLE OF GOOD DEEDS, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.” Titus 2:6-8 NASB (capitalization is added for emphasis.) ///
