If you all remember, I talked about this clinic few weeks ago. It is Wholistic Health Service clinic, a non-profit clinic opened by Dr. Lishan Kassa eight years ago to help Ethiopians and Eritreans, in the DMV area, who have no health insurance and have low or no income.
I am one of the board members of this amazing clinic.
This clinic gives a host of other public services, in addition to medical services, to those who just came or migrated to the US.
I know, this is unheard of, but the fee is as low as $25 or in some cases where the people don’t have any financial means, this non-profit clinic gives free health and public services.
This clinic also gives family counseling at the lowest prices, again as low as $25 and those who cannot afford to pay can get the service for free.
Professional licensed physicians, nurses and social service providers are the ones to give all these services. And services are volunteering based.

On Saturday, October 19, from 2pm to 7pm, there will be an educational and fundraising event for this clinic to give us all opportunity to take part in this good work. For detail info, you can see the flyer attached to this post.
The entrance ticket is $50. Every penny goes to the clinic. Just think about it: Your $50 may help families stay together as they receive counseling from this clinic for free.
Please, I encourage you all who live in the DMV area (DC, Maryland and Virginia) to take part in this and support this clinic.
Some of us may think that everybody who lives in America lives a luxurious life but that is not true. There are many homeless and mentally sick Ethiopians and Eritreans who have no one to help them or take them to a hospital.
This is the only non-profit clinic I know in America with this vision, to help and support Habesha people who have no or small financial means.
Dr. Lishan, the founder of this clinic, is a licensed family physician here in America and she is also licensed in the area of mental sickness.
As always, I won’t ask you to give unless I and my family first do our parts. So, please support this clinic. The best way to do that right now is by buying the ticket for the upcoming fundraising event.
