What Sort of Craziness

So, when a man comes to church, if he sees a woman half naked, will he lose his “purity?”
Where does the Bible say, “Women, dress appropriately so that men in your church will keep their purity?”

For me, a woman, the Bible says: “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” (1 Peter 3:3-4)

It tells me how to be beautiful, inside and outside; by paying real close attention to my unseen, unfading and hidden inner self that feeds on the word of God. This has nothing to do with men.
For a man, the word of God says: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.” (Matthew 5:28-29)
Does the above verse say something like, “If the women in your church cause you to stumble, send them out or complain about them?” [Hope you don’t quote me back Matthew 18:6 and 1 Corinthians 8:13 – focus on context!]
What sort of craziness is preventing us from seeing this obvious truth of God?
Some men say, “A woman should be covered, otherwise we men cannot keep our purity!”
Very humorous but I kind of understand where this thing is coming from.
You see, if these men don’t blame women for their sin stricken heart, they have to carry the burden of purifying their hearts and minds. That by itself is too heavy a burden to carry for they don’t know how to train themselves to be godly. They only know how to go to church and make a noise. At home, in their private time, they watch whatever they want.
I mean, they cannot send to YouTube, “The women in most video clips I watch are not covering themselves up properly and I am lusting after them and I am sinning against my God. So, stop uploading those kinds of videos!”
Let’s say one guy sent this kind of message to YouTube, what do you think would be YouTube’s response?
Let me guess:
“Thank you for letting us know that our video clips are doing to you exactly what they are designed to do. We appreciate your feedback. Please let your friends and families watch and send us their feedback too.
Sincerely, YouTube Team.”
Let me ask:
Where does sin live? In the eyes???????
Paul Washer once said, “The eye reveals the passion of the heart, the treasure of the heart. I don’t need to read your heart, I only need to look at your eye.”
So true!
The issue of the heart must be addressed first, (Proverbs 4:23). Then a man gets strengthen to train his eyes to bounce back from the things his heart does not want to see.
Here is the challenge then:

Be a godly man FIRST, you stop showing any interest whatsoever for a woman who comes to the church you go to half naked. Do you think that woman will come to that church you are part of?

Never!

Why?

We women are created to respond, and to follow. When we see “REAL” godly men (I didn’t say, so called “Men of God” but REAL godly men like Joseph), we follow suit.

Try it! It is even safe to try it at home and/or church. And hear this: It is biblical: “set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. . . Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” (1 Timothy 4:12b, 16) ///
