I Wish I Shook His Hands Just Once!

Men, like Martin Luther King Jr., are real rare and precious jewels for this world. He and men like him made this world a better place to live.

Luther walked on this earth with a specific purpose and goal in mind, i.e. to benefit others by making his voice being heard. Then when his time ended as it was decided by God, he went on to the other side of heaven, on April 4, 1968, not for a short visit but forever!

But Luther’s works, his words, continue living on, echoing through generations.

I love all Luther’s famous quotes but for today, this is the one quote I want to share with you:

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

Because our friends’ silence hurts so deep. There is nothing new about our enemies making their voices being heard. Do their voices hurt? No because their voices accomplish absolutely nothing!

But our friends’ silence, it definitely accomplishes something. I hope you won’t ask me what it accomplishes.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day to all of you! ///
