A Woman’s Body

If you ask me what the number one enemy of a young man is, I will say, “His pair of eyes!”

Yeap! They are his enemies unless he trained them to obey his mind and spirit that are mentored by the word and Spirit of God.

A young man’s eyes convince him that he found the girl his heart was searching for, the girl who loves and fears God, the girl who has respectful character, cares for the people of God and the Kingdom of God, in short, a woman who is all-round beautiful, physically and spiritually, with noble characters.

But the question is, how did this young man arrive to this conclusion about the girl? The only thing he may know FOR SURE about the girl is her nice and attractive figure and face. That is all!

If that is the case, his eyes must have tricked him!

But wisdom says to him, “Young man, what you see is temporal, what you don’t see is permanent.”

And Gary Thomas in his wonderful book called, “The Sacred Search,” writes this to a young single man: “In case you’ve never thought about it, a woman’s body changes rapidly than her character does.”

Hmm! Makes you think twice, doesn’t it?

The one best and effective way a man can see the permanent, the hidden beauty and noble character of a woman, is (means the one that doesn’t change rapidly):

By clinging to the word of God because the word of God makes him wiser than his “enemies” (his mind and spirit get sharper than his pair of eyes).

“Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they (Your words) are my CONSTANT GUIDE.” Psalm 119:98 (Capitalization is mine) – Don’t miss the word “Guide” here.

A man who is not intimate with the word of God (he might have perfect church attendance) is considered BLIND. Listen to this:

“You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and DO NOT NEED A THING.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, BLIND and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and SALVE TO PUT ON YOUR EYES, SO YOU CAN SEE.” Revelation 3:17-18 (Capitalization is mine)

In old days, “salve” was used to make the royal women’s eyes look beautiful – big and sparky (but it makes their vision blurry, just like the eye dilation drops our eye doctors use to examine our eyes) – that  means the women don’t see what is sitting in front of them; their vision is compromised. So, they leave their safety on their guards. (Did you see the connection between guide and guards?)

“Salve” was also used as a medicine to get rid of an eye infection.

Wow! Do you see what the word of God is saying above? If you do, please tell me. I want to hear from you instead of me writing here what I see.

But today’s message, in short, is this: Believe what the word of God says, not your eyes, nor your feelings and emotions and you will live in peace and rest. ///
