NOT FAIR AT ALL!

I mean, I just came back from Oakland, CA and it is raining here in Maryland:(.

What do you call that? Fair? If I am down, do you blame me?

And hear this: People who live in Oakland complain about the high tax they pay. You know what I said to them? I said, “Actually, y’all have to pay tax for the gorgeous sun you are privileged to see every day as well as for the amazingly beautiful air you breath!”

You know what I mean! They have to!

Hey, I am not gossiping about Maryland. Yes, I love Maryland regardless and I am glad that I am home now.

Anyways, yes, I had a wonderful time with the Abenezer Evangelical Church (AEC) folks at Berkeley, CA.

So, I would like to say, thank you, to all the leaders of AEC, Gezachewe Worku, Moges, Nebyu, Dawit and all the rest of the elders of the church, for inviting me over. I also would like to thank Meaza and Saba for taking care me. Appreciate you much my friends! Saba, I already missed your smoothie and the special dish you made for my very sensitive stomach. May God bless you!

Let me tell you something. All the beautiful wives of most of the men in this church are the ones who influenced their men to invite me. Yeap! I love women! Bravo girls! Hard to convince men, but you did it anyways! Good influencers!

Well, let me be fair. Some of the men actually came up with the idea with their wives to invite me. So, thank you everybody for having me over to your gathering. I really enjoyed my stay.

I especially enjoyed the time I spent with the young men only, 18 and older, English speaking congregation, who are eager to learn about how to battle against the enemy who is targeting their sexuality. I’m telling you. I learned a great deal from these bright young men. I was not able to answer some of their questions and guess what? Some of the young men came up with the answer. Yes, that is what I am talking about.

I am so proud of you, young men!

I was very happy to meet people who drove like 5 hours to attend the conference! I know! Thank you so much guys!

Throughout the conference, I was totally blessed by the presence of the Holy Spirit. Oh, thank You, Abba, for Your presence. What do I have in this world but You alone! Even in heaven, I only have You! Thank You, Jesus, for not leaving me nor forsaking me.

When I find time to sit, watch and edit some of my messages, I will definitely share them with you.

But before I pen off for today, let me ask you one question: Where does your joy come from? Where is your treasure in this world? What do you have that can give you comfort every moment of your life?

For me personally, my joy comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. My hope is in Him alone. He is my only Treasure in this world that I draw pleasure, comfort and joy from. Do you have Jesus Christ in your heart? Have you ever invited Him to come into your heart?

Jesus said, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”  (Revelation 3:20)

Maybe God is knocking at the door of your heart through this post.

Few years ago, I prayed like this while I was laying on my bed, looking at the ceiling: “Lord Jesus, come into my heart,” and guess what? He came and from that moment on to this day, He never departed from me because He came to be  with me forever!

Yes, there is no prescribed kind of prayer.

Just call on His name and you shall be saved for Scripture says, “for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”” (Romans 10:13) ///
