Sex is beautiful, pleasurable, messy, yucky, sacred, holy, breathtaking, mysterious, confusing, refreshing, frustrating, fun, fulfilling, rejuvenating, exciting, thrilling and exhilarating! (Song of Solomon)
Do you see how complicated sex is?
It is not the way Hollywood movies, Fifty Shades of Gray or Darker or porn industries are portraying it as on screen. It is not.
And this complicated work of God, sexual union of one man and one woman, can only be beneficial when God is honored and glorified by it.
God glorifying sexual union can only be found in the marriage union of one man and one woman.
Outside that, my dearest, there is only one word that describes sex, i.e. LETHAL!
Everything dies with it! Say it love or attraction, bond or chemistry, care or affection, everything good and beautiful dies with it.
The problem is, after everything good dies with it, people try to fake all those dead things as if they were alive and make movies out of that.
Very tricky!
When we watch their creative art that makes those dead things to look like alive, we go ahead and try what they do on screen at home.
Ouch!
My dearest, love is dead in Fifty Shades of Gray or Darker or in other porn movies. It is killed! There is no lasting pleasure, care or affection. They all are killed. Humanity itself is killed.
Only death is glorified! So, be very careful! Don’t try to do what they show you. You will destroy your beautiful life.
The best thing to do is “not to see”! Yeah, make a covenant with your eyes not to see (Job 31:1).
Can anybody make a covenant with his eyes and keep his covenant for the long haul? Yes, but only if he is filled in Christ Jesus, in “the life giving spirit” (1 Cor. 15:45).
Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.” (John 15:5 – capitalization mine)
Apart from Christ, we can do nothing that can give us real peace, joy and lasting pleasure, such as leading a sexually pure life. ///
