One Character of A Romantic Husband

I can’t promise but I will do everything I can to caption this video in English because I don’t want you, my English speaking followers, to miss the message.

But if I can’t get it captioned, this is what I am trying to say (not verbatim though):

One of the characters of a romantic husband is that he listens to his wife!

It is not like he is texting and, at the same time, listening to her. Oh, no! He totally gives her his undivided and total attention and listens to her. This kind of listening always produces action.

A number of husbands ask me, “So, how can I love my wife? How can I show her that I love her?”

I always say to them: Give her your ears!

Listen to what she says to you. When she says, “Please don’t leave the towel on the floor,” by you not dropping that wet towel on the floor, you show her clearly that you love her.

One loving action is worth one million “I love yous.”  Don’t forget that!

The Word of God says, “My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.” (1 John 3:18 GNT)

And listening to your wife not only gives you a chance to show your love to your wife but it also gives you a chance to notice something that you haven’t seen before. So, in a way, listening to your wife keeps you safe (by listening to your wife, you save your marriage and your children).

Yes, “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”” (Genesis 2:18 NIV)

A “helper suitable” means “a lifesaver.” So, she saves you from many unforeseen, potentially dangerous but at a time seemingly nonthreatening dangers. So, it is wise for you to listen to your wife.

However, I am not saying here to wives, “Continue nagging your husbands.” Never!

The Bible says, “Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.” (Proverbs 21:9 NIV)

I am simply saying, “Listen to your wife.” It is like taking one of those basic classes in college, like Chemistry 101 or Math 101. So, this I call it “Listen to your wife 101 class.”

And I am not saying, “Listen to your wife regardless of what the word of God is saying to you.” You know the outcome of doing that, don’t you? (Genesis 3) One husband chose to listen to his wife ignoring what God had told him and the whole human race was doomed! Praise God that He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ! If it wasn’t for Jesus Christ, Adam would have gotten us all locked up in hell for eternity!

So, be very careful! Don’t misread or mishear me!

If your wife says to you, for example, “Let’s not give money to church,” (very unlikely for wives to say that, it is usually husbands saying that sort of thing), don’t listen to her but listen to the word of God and give your tithes and offerings to the church you go to. ///
