Not Too Sure

When you look at some YouTube videos these days, it makes you wonder, doesn’t it? One man stands on stage and claims to hear from God and thousands of people sit in the pew and wait for him to tell them what God told him.

He says, “Okay, get ready! I am about to say the word from God!”

And the people get up from their seat and cheer him up! And the moment he says something, they jump and try to grab the word or something, I don’t know what they’re trying to grab – somebody said, “They are trying to grab the luck.” If the man says, “From this day on, you will be healthy,” they want to grab that to be healthy for the rest of their lives.

Why? Not too sure.

The Bible says,

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.” (Revelation 19:11-13)

Did you hear that? His name is the Word of God!

And listen what the next few verses say:

“The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 12:14-16 – capitalization is not mine)

Why then do people who belong to Jesus Christ follow a mere human who claims to have a word from God while they themselves have the Word, while Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is speaking to them directly?

Or, do I need to assume that these people know about Jesus but don’t know the Faithful and True Jesus Christ, the Word of God, personally? ///
