He Moved On

A4P Guest: I’m 28 years old. I am a born-again Christian and I am very serious when it comes to opposite sex relationships.

A4P: What do you mean?

A4P Guest: You know how people take relationships? I am not one of them.

A4P: I’m confused.

A4P Guest: Okay, let me explain. People date someone today and they breakup and they move on and date another person. If that relationship doesn’t work, they breakup and start another one.

A4P: I think I am more confused now than before.

A4P Guest: Okay. I grew up in church and so far I had only one relationship with a guy. After we’ve seen each other for six months, he one day called me and said, “I don’t think we are meant to be together,” and he hung up the phone. I haven’t heard from him since then. The thing is, my prayer has always been to marry the first man I dated. And I love this man very much. I don’t think I can ever love anybody else. I trust God to answer my prayer.

A4P: What is your question for me then?

A4P Guest: My friends and my sister think that I am out of my mind. But I always say to them, “I don’t live by sight but by faith. If I look crazy to you, that is okay. I am not crazy to God.”

A4P: What is your question for me?

A4P Guest: While I wait for him to come back, how can I stop thinking about him?

A4P: Wait for who?

A4P Guest: For the guy I told you about.

A4P: I thought he moved on, didn’t he?

A4P Guest: He did but I don’t accept that. I believe God will answer my prayer.

A4P: I think I agree with your friends and sister.  My friend, I see that you tend to be out of your mind.

When Paul says, “If we are out of our mind, as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.” (2 Corinthians 5:13), Paul is saying, in effect, that, I think, “We need to have our right mind to relate with you. And when we relate with God, we may look to you that we are “out of our mind” because regardless of our circumstances, we trust God to do what “He said” He would do.” – This means, for you to live by faith, not by sight, you need to be “in-your-mind,” otherwise you can’t put two & two together, means, you can’t pick up the promises of God and trust God according to His promises.

And my sister, when a guy decides to move on, don’t waste your time praying for him to come back.
Instead pray that God will help you to learn from your past mistakes and strive to be the person He made you to be. ///
