Tomorrow is “Christ-mas” (means, “gathering for Christ”), a day we celebrate and remember the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“Why do people, especially Christians, write Christmas as x-mas?”
Well, let me speak for myself.
I used to be one of those people who write Christmas as “x-mas”. I thought I was acting “cool” by following the trend; doing what others were doing.
Then I learned what “Christmas” stands for and I’ve never shortened “Christmas” ever since. I spell it out as it is because the name “Christ” means everything to me. It breathes life and hope into my heart whenever I call His Name.
Oh, His Name! What else do I have in this life but His Name, Jesus Christ!
