“To which world do you live for?”

lost-to-the-world

There are two worlds, at least for Christians, the followers of Jesus Christ:

Dark world (means, pattern of life according to “the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient – Ephesians 2:2) and the world that is in Christ (pattern of life according to the word of God).

So, to check “the status of my salvation,” I sometimes pause the following question to myself in light of Romans 12:1-2, Colossians 3:1-4 & Galatians 5:24:

“So, to which world do you live for?”

To arrive to the answer, I ask myself this question: To which world are you dead to?

Because I now come to realize that I can’t simultaneously live for these two completely different and opposing worlds. I have to be dead to one and live for the other; or I have to live for one and be dead for the other.

Dr. Brown put this idea eloquently: “When you are truly saved, you are lost to the world.” ///
