Encourage Young, Single Men to Get Married

This is a very short clip to encourage young and single men to get married. For those of you who don’t understand Amharic, this is what I’m saying with one or two points added here:

If you are a believer in Christ, it is very important that you are a member of one local church and part of one of the church’s ministries. Don’t worry about being called and anointed to be in a particular ministry. Find a ministry in your church where the church needs help with and in the process, you may realize your particular call in the Body of Christ. But the most important thing is that you decide not to be idle in the house of God.

And if you are a single man, getting involved in a ministry may help you find a good wife since finding a wife is the man’s responsibility (Proverbs 18:22).
And those of us who are married, we should encourage young single men to get involved in a ministry. And if the young men find a wife and stop coming to the ministry after they get married, I believe, it is okay. Actually the Bible says, “If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.” (Deuteronomy 24:5)

I know, we can’t apply this Word to our life today (I wish we could) but I believe the basic principle has to be honored. If a particular ministry they were part of before marriage is their call from God, they will come back to it; if not, they are better off finding another ministry that is going to work for their new life (as a husband and a father). ///
