Got the Word of God today?

Jesus once said: “Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:47-51)

Jesus is our Manna we need to eat day in and day out for us to live in Him. Jesus is the Word of God. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1, 14; Revelation 19:13)

Israelites one day said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!” (Numbers 11:4b-6)

And God took the manna away and gave them what they asked for and guess what happened to them next? Listen:

“So he gave them what they asked for,
but sent a wasting disease among them.” (Psalm 106:15)

Have you said, “I have lost my appetite for the Word of God?”

Remember, the Word of God is all you need! This world, the flesh and the devil can’t give you anything. They come to you to take everything you have. You don’t need their “meat, leeks, garlic, cucumbers.” You only need God’s Manna because only this Manna meets all your needs.

So, did you get some serving of the Word of God today? Without the Word, you and I are nothing. ///
