It Doesn’t Say “If” but “When”

Have you ever noticed that God didn’t promise us never to go through suffering? Never! He promised us though this: He will be with us.

Listen:

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.”(Isaiah 43:1b-2)

Don’t miss something here. It doesn’t say “IF you pass through the waters,” rather, it says, “WHEN you pass through the waters.” That means, it is a sure thing that we pass through “the waters” (different sufferings); but the very sure thing here is also this: When we pass through the waters, God will be with us.

Hold on to this promise no matter what you’re facing in your life today because God is faithful to all His promises.

And hear this please: It doesn’t say, “When you live in the waters,” rather, it says, “When you pass through the waters.” That means the waters are “stop-stations” not destinations. We leave the waters behind as we proceed to our destiny.

This is ALWAYS the order of things for those who are in Christ Jesus. May His Name be praised forever! ///
