Dating and Marriage

A4P Guest: I’m a 36 year-old woman and I’ve been dating a man (38 years old) for a couple years now. We both are born again Christians. This year, I was expecting him to propose to me but he doesn’t even talk about marriage at all. I told him in several occasions how much I desire to get married. But he usually changes the subject and avoids it totally. What do you advise me to do?

A4P: I have few questions for you before I jump into answering your questions. So, what do you mean when you say you are dating a man? How do you define dating? How does dating look like in your relationship?

A4P Guest: I mean, just dating, nothing else. We see each other almost every day and we speak on the phone almost every night before we go to bed. Continue reading Dating and Marriage

The Denver Program Detail

For those of you who are planning to come to the Denver program I’m going to have this weekend, here is the flyer the church has prepared.

If you have a teenager, please send them over for the Saturday whole day program. We are going out of the city for the whole day! It is going to be a fun time!

If you are married, don’t miss the Sunday afternoon program. Your marriage won’t be the same again because I saw it many times for me to conclude that God loves to invite Himself in all marriage conferences. He will touch you and your marriage. ///

The best and the most effective way – – –

As the Deer Pants

– – – to deal with the evil spirit when he strikes is by running to the True Shepherd of our soul, Jesus Christ; by seeking Him day and night as a deer pants, desires and seeks for the water! (Psalm 42:1; James 4:8)

After all, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! He is the Bread of Life! (John 14:6a, John 6:35 & 48) Without Him, there is no eternal life because He said, “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6b ///

Those who are in Christ will rise first!

We Trust in our God

As you all might have already heard, there is a mourning vigilant across Ethiopia for three days starting today to remember the Ethiopian Christian martyrs who had fallen in the hands of ISIS. So, today, Tuesday, April 21, 2015, I and all the A4P ministers want to dedicate the Appeal for Purity Ministry Facebook page for that purpose only.

Not to mourn, which we all are doing right now, but also to celebrate the lives of our brothers who courageously stood on their faith and laid their lives down. We all are sad to see them depart from this life like this, at this age but God is in control of everything; and we know that the Bible says: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13) We don’t grieve like the world because WE HAVE HOPE IN CHRIST JESUS! Rejoice always but on what?

2002 Biruk in Belly

While my Berhan and I were cleaning up old boxes we put away in our basement for the last, God knows how many years, I found very old pictures, pictures we didn’t even know we had.

While my Berhan was too focused on cleaning up, I took the corner spot to look through those old pictures. I found all those goofy and funny looking pictures My Berhan and I took when I was a teenager and he was in his early 20th. Then I found pictures of all our pregnancies and delivery room pictures. It is just beautiful!

When I looked at some of these pictures, my eyes quickly welled up with tears. Flashes of good memories flooded my soul and I couldn’t rejoice. I actually felt very sad. Continue reading Rejoice always but on what?

Change comes from – – –

“Though you grind a fool in a mortar,
grinding them like grain with a pestle,
you will not remove their folly from them.” Proverbs 27:22

Why not? Because change only comes from within!

But who is a fool?

The way of fools seems right to them,
but the wise listen to advice.” Proverbs 12:15 ///

Pictures and videos going viral

Something is burning in my heart right now and I want to share it with you all.

I’m sure you all know by now that ISIS is slaughtering innocent human beings in the name of religion. And they record all their inhuman actions and post it on powerful social media such as Facebook and YouTube.

Do you think we need to write our comments on those pictures and videos? Do you know when we write our comments and share those posts; we help ISIS fulfill its agendas?

Do you know leaving a comment on a social media post introduces the post, the media, to hundreds and thousands of people? That is how social media work. Continue reading Pictures and videos going viral
