Glad to be back to Maryland even if Maryland is covered with black ice! Yeah, that is how Maryland rolls these days!
After staying in Las Vegas for the weekend with a weather ranging from 74 to 76 degree, I was very disappointed yesterday afternoon to find myself in Maryland with freezing point weather.
I had a wonderful time with the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church folks at Las Vegas!
You know what I said while I was flying to Las Vegas? Well, after I flew with rowdy young men and women who were ready to jump off of that plane and do whatever they wanted to do in Vegas and to later say, “Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” I said, “What on earth do believers in Christ do here in Vegas?”
Then after I spent the first few hours of my stay with the ECFC leaders, this Word of God came to my heart:
“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.“ Come and see,” said Philip.” John 1:46
Wow! I went and saw just like Nathanael what God has been doing there in Las Vegas. Then I said, “LORD, please continue blessing Your people! Please help them stay here so that they continue snatching many from the eternal fire of hell!”
Yes, I had a wonderful time! I worshiped God with them and I enjoyed every moment of my stay there.
Well, while I’m at it, let me take this moment to say “Thank you” to the people of ECFC:
I first want to say “Thank you” to Pastor Mequannent, the senior pastor of ECFC, for inviting me to share my burden with the people of ECFC.
And a special, “Thank you” goes to Pastor Mequannets’ stunningly beautiful wife who introduced me and the Appeal for Purity Ministry to Pastor Mequannet and insisted on inviting me over. She is just amazing woman of God! May God bless you two, your beautiful marriage, ministry and your three nations you are raising under you.
I would also like to say “Thank you” to all the associate pastors and ministers who made my stay at Vegas a memorable one with their love and care. I would also like to say “Thank you” to all the church folks who embraced me and the message of God I delivered to them.
And last but not least, I want to say “Thank you” to all YOU my Facebook fans who came over there and let me see your faces. Guys, I really appreciate you! I was especially thrilled to meet all YOU, beautiful and handsome teenagers who have been following my English YouTube video clips. You guys rock! Seriously! I’m very motivated even to upload more English YouTube videos even if I’m extremely busy these days! God is able to enable me do whatever needs to be done! I trust Him! To Him be all the glory forever and ever!
Well, there is one group of people I want to say “Thank you” too. This group is the ECFC video crew, handsome young men who did an excellent job of recording every program! Thank you guys! Because of you, I’m here to share with all the A4P’s fans the Sunday morning service.
The video quality is an excellent one but for the first one minute or so the sound is not clear but it will pick up after that.
Wow! That Sunday morning, I was filled in the Holy Spirit and trying to control myself from dropping the mic and jumping up and down to give glory and praise to Jesus who died for me. Seriously! I was actually trying to calm my spirit down, saying, “You will have your private time later and when you do, you can dance to Christ in whatever way you want to. Right now there is a camera in front of you and you have to behave.”
Okay let me leave you with this Word of God:
“When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold.” 2 Samuel 5:17
My friend, if you are in Christ, you are anointed (1 John 2:20). And if you are anointed, please hear this: The enemy of your soul is out to get you (1 Peter 5:8) and your enemy is waving at you so many things to allure you away from Christ and one of the things he is waving at you says this: “I will give you sexual pleasure if you forsake your God’s law”.
Oh, the only way you and I can win this “hard-to-resist” temptation is by hiding ourselves in Christ Jesus because Jesus Christ is our only Stronghold we can run to and be safe (Proverbs 18:10)!
